Biography
Saoirse is a current MSc Physiotherapy student from Ireland. She previously studied a BSc in Athletic Therapy, a degree that takes an in-depth look at pathology and treatment for all sports conditions. She has worked with multiple teams and athletes across Gaelic football, hurling, rugby and horse racing – understanding the movement and performance needs of multiple disciplines. These roles involved pitch side cover, first aid, diagnosing injuries, rehabilitation and return to performance.
Throughout her Masters degree, Saoirse has experienced several aspects of physiotherapy in Aberdeen. She has had experience in acute care, community, orthopaedics and paediatrics. Career highlights are working with professional Crossfit Athletes and strong men and women at Rogue Invitational.

One of the most rewarding highlights of my career has been witnessing athletes recover from serious injuries and return to complete and succeed at the highest level of their sport.

Her hobbies include running, playing Gaelic football and basketball and has represented her club, county and province in both sports. Going through an ACL repair at 17years old and missing 2 All Ireland Finals helped her understand the demands of rehabilitation and the importance of a successful recovery.
Her special interests within her career are sports injuries (particularly ACL), Gaelic football, and basketball.
